Totally agree. Sure, the prequels were garbage. Pure, irredeemable piles of trash – but they weren’t safe. Lucas aimed for the stars and fell on his face. Johnson aimed to remake the originals, and did so in a moderately competent fashion, and is hailed as a genius. The whole thing is very odd.
