This is great. Although, in a way it’s a shame that pieces like this need to be written. I can’t help but think that if Rey was a young guy instead of a girl, no-one would have questioned the character’s Force abilities.

Also, people seem to take it for granted that however Force sensitive Rey is, she must be less powerful than Anakin and Luke. Why must that be the case? Perhaps her innate gift is stronger than either Skywalker. Perhaps she will go on to be more powerful than Yoda – or the Emperor for that matter. We just don’t know yet.
