Thank you! I thought I was the only one! I’ve lost track of the number of reviews and comments I’ve read that say “The Force Awakens was a complete rip-off of A New Hope, whereas The Last Jedi takes risks and is fresh and original”.

All those people need to seriously go back and watch Empire again.

Like you, I also definitely wanted something original this time.
