I wonder if Alien: Covenant had been close to happening, but was scrapped at the last minute, would it eventually be revered as the great ‘lost’ Alien movie?

I have no doubt that the mythic wooden ship Alien film would’ve been more interesting than the Alien3 we got, but the thing about unmade works is that they can live forever, free of imperfections.
